Kanyakumari is one of the districts of Tamil Nadu, located at a distance of 235 km from Madurai. It has been named after the Goddess Kanyakumari Amman who is a religious deity of the area. It lies on the southern most land tip of India, where the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Bay of Bengal meet. It is considered to be an important pilgrim center of India. Kanyakumari is blessed with beautiful beaches and the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The city looks enchanting on full moon days.
